Fourth Form pupil, Will Rodgers, has taken the bold step of shaving his hair for charity. Inspired by his father, and a visit to a chemotherapy station in London, Will decided to raise money for Cancer Research.
Will said: “I had been thinking about shaving my hair since the end of September and was inspired from my visit to the chemotherapy station where I met a number of people, all of whom were experiencing hair loss due to their treatment. These people, along with my dad continue to be a big inspiration to me by staying positive and strong”.
In the final few hours of fundraising, brother Charlie stepped in with an additional donation of £89, bringing the grand total to £3,000.
The school, alongside Will’s family, are incredibly proud of his decision to turn what could have been a normal trip to the barbers into a charitable activity that will hopefully help Cancer Research with its vital work.
Following the ‘extreme’ haircut, Will’s hair is already growing back at quite a pace!
