Pupils at King’s Hall School Taunton embraced the season of giving this week by bringing festive cheer to young patients at Musgrove Park Hospital.
Accompanied by their Headmaster, Justin Chippendale, Reception pupils Pip Pardoe, Ben Smith, Sophia Hildreth and Harper Peters, visited the hospital to see how their donation had helped to decorate the Children’s Day Surgery.
They were delighted to find that the ward had been transformed for the holidays, with toy elves, giant bows, and a beautifully decorated Christmas tree being just some of the fantastic ornaments on display. The children were also pleased to meet Vanessa Knowles, Ward Manager of the Children’s Unit and Day Surgery, as well as Sister Sarah Garner, and Staff Nurse, Trudy Thomas, who let them take the surgery’s toy car for a spin around the playroom.
Commenting on the visit, Sarah said “The staff of the Children’s Day Surgery are very grateful for the generous donation of our Christmas tree, lights and decorations. It is a much brighter and festive place now. Thank you to all of the children from King’s Hall – we wish them a very Happy Christmas!”
