Pupils at King’s Hall School were recently treated to a visit from leading picture book author, Tracey Corderoy. Tracey is the author of over 70 books for children and is perhaps best known for her charming Shifty McGifty series.

The King’s Hall bookworms were delighted to be joined by local nurseries, The Beehive Day Nursery, Brambles Day Nursery, and Tops Nursery Musgrove for the special event.

Skilful storytelling and colourful characters engaged the young children as Tracey brought her stories to life. There were smiles all round as the pupils also took part in additional workshops, including an arts and craft activity.  Librarian, Emily Marcuccilli said: “Meeting an author is always a very special occasion for young children.  We are extremely grateful to Tracey for coming to visit us, and to all the nurseries who joined us for the day. It really was a wonderful day!”
