Aspiring King’s Hall poet Henry Earp was recently awarded third place in this year’s Exmoor Dark Skies poetry competition, beating competition from over 300 applicants.

The competition invites those of all ages to write a poem inspired by Exmoor’s landscape, whether it’s the peace and tranquillity, the delight of seeing constellations, stars and the Milky Way, or simply just the sounds of local wildlife.

As a reward for his success, Henry received a glow in the dark beanie hat and Dark Skies goodie bag – both perfect prizes for further Exmoor explorations.
