The Kariandusi School Trust is selling a range of Christmas Cards and Notelets in aid of the magnificent work they do in Kenya. The Kariandusi School Trust is a charity set up for the advancement of education amongst children in rural Kenya, addressing the need for schools by the construction of school buildings and the ongoing provision of school facilities and educational materials in and around those schools (http://www.kariandusi.co.uk/).
In 2011, as part of The Woodard Corporation’s commemoration of the bicentenary of its Founder, Nathaniel Woodard’s birth, it was decided to raise sufficient money to build a secondary school in Gilgil, in the Rift Valley, Kenya. Through generous donations received from the Woodard Schools, members of the wider Woodard family and others, the Woodard Langalanga Secondary School opened its doors to the first intake of pupils in January 2012. The school now has 425 pupils being influenced by the Woodard ethos.
Cards sold through the Woodard Corporation traditionally go to the Woodard Langalanga Secondary School unless donors say otherwise. If you wish WLSS to benefit please enclose a note to that effect with your order form. Thank you.
The designs are by Sammy Nderitu, a graduate Langalanga scholar who is becoming a known artist in Nairobi.
