The Bloxham School Drama Department has been busy over the last few months scripting and directing its own annual production.

During the summer holidays, the Bloxham Drama Department brought together some of its students and children’s author Sam Gayton and, between them, the team crafted an entirely original script, Lost Boys. Based on Peter Pan, Lost Boys offers a modern-day take on the classic tale, with all your favourite characters as you’ve never seen them before.

Rehearsals started in earnest once the Michaelmas Term began and excitement has been building across the school ever since. Finally, towards the end of November, the cast and crew, comprising over 100 students and staff members, were ready for opening night. Taking place over the course of three days, the production was a resounding success and saw over 800 members of the school and local community have the chance to enjoy the spectacle for themselves. The production was rife with fantastic costumes, catchy one-liners, powerful scenery and incredible singing and acting talent.

Lost Boys brought together an enormous number of people both on and off the stage and it was a real triumph for the Drama Department. Who knows what they’ll be able to achieve next year!
