The Governors of Alderley Edge School for Girls are looking to appoint a committed, professional and conscientious Bursar.

The Governing Body delegates the day to day running of the School to the Head and the Bursar.

The Bursar is appointed by, and reports to, the Governing Body and is responsible in consultation with the Head for all of the School’s non-academic operations.

The Bursar is also Clerk to the Governing Body and is Company Secretary, supporting the Governors in their statutory duties as Company Directors and Trustees, and is also a member of the School Senior Management Team. In addition, the Bursar plays a key role in the School’s strategic planning with particular emphasis on the efficient and effective use of the School’s resources.

Founded in 1999 from the merger of St Hilary’s, owned by the Anglican Woodard Corporation, and Mount Carmel, owned by the Roman Catholic Sister of St Joseph, Alderley Edge School for Girls provides a secure yet challenging and inspiring environment for pupils aged 2 – 18 years.
