On Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 April, the BBC will return to Lancing College’s renowned Chapel to record and broadcast the Choral Evensong and Sunday Worship.
This is very exciting and a testament to the wonderful College Choir and also the long-standing and respected traditions of worship at Lancing College Chapel. It is also a welcomed return, following the successful broadcast of BBC Radio 4’s Any Questions? in September 2017.
The stunning Chapel architecture provides an inspiring background for visitors and pupils alike, who often come together as a community in the school’s services with the Chapel Choir. The Choir – an embodiment of the College’s Christian values and passion for music – has produced many award winning musicians over the years, including two winners of BBC Radio 2’s Young Chorister of the Year.
The College warmly welcomes members of the public to both events, with online booking now live.
The services and details are as follows:
Saturday 28 April – Radio 3’s recording of Choral Evensong, 1.30 pm arrival time
Sunday 29 April – Radio 4’s live broadcast of Sunday Worship, 7.45 am arrival time
